Greg Dronkert is the current President and Board Chair for m4a as well as a small business owner on Bainbridge Island. His business focuses on accelerating the transition to zero-emission transportation and integrating advanced vehicle technologies into vehicle fleets. With sustainability in mind, he has structured his company as a Social Purpose Corporation (SPC) formed in Washington State.
He graduated from the California Maritime Academy with a degree in engineering and he sailed on ships in licensed positions in the deck and engineering departments before progressing through senior and executive management positions ashore. Over the years he served as President & COO of HMS Ferries, Director of the Alaska Marine Highway System, President & CEO of Glacier Bay Cruiseline, and Vice President & General Manager of Alaska Ship and Drydock. He has also attended the University of Washington’s Marine Transportation and Port Planning program and completed an MBA in Shipping and Logistics from Middelsex University.
He believes that mobility is the ease, or freedom, with which people access desired destinations, services, and products utilizing a range of transportation options. The way people and goods move is going through an epic transformation. Utilizing advanced technology can enhance the entire mobility ecosystem. His goal is to improve people’s lives through mobility that is sustainable and accessible to all users.
